Side swept bangs??

November 13, 2014
Well, hello! I am so glad that you are reading this blog post right now. :) I've been doing a lot of holiday thinking lately, as I'm sure you have been too. It seems for me that this year is really hard for me. I usually can find what I want to get for my family members fairly quick. But, this year, I've only had a few ideas. Well, I guess I'll have to start thinking harder. ;)

I've just recently *gasp* run out of books to read! I usually read the "Christian heroes than and now" series, but I found out that I've read all of the books that the library system has in my state. :( *Cue crying* So, I need your help. What kind of books do you like reading? I'm not big into fantasy...are you? We went to the library and I couldn't even find a single book to read, which is really odd for me. I'm usually able to find lots of books. Maybe I've gone to the same library for too long? ;)

And, the biggest question of all. I am looking into cutting my hair. I really like the side swept look of bangs, and I found a DIY way to do it from pinterest. (I'm not addicted...don't worry. :D) What do you think of the look below? I couldn't believe it. I got an email from a really good friend, and she told me she was getting bangs. And, I never told her what I was thinking. Sometimes, we are very alike. :D
I wish I had red hair. ;)

What family member is the hardest to find gifts for?
At your house do you draw names, get a gift for everyone, or just not exchange gifts at all?
What do you think of side swept bangs?

  2. Sounds like you are a very avid reader! Congrats on running out of books at your local library! We were blessed to find a nearby university library with a huge collection of books...and they let high schoolers get library cards there for free!

  3. Nice post! For secret Santa this year, we've decided to instead of making each other gifts, plan a special fun activity to do with them. For example, like a movie night for the two of you. :-) I find it hard to get presents for the boys in my family. :-) Oh, and I think you would look good with side swept bangs. ;-)

    1. Ohh, that is really smart! It sounds like a great way to spend quality time with your siblings rather than just giving them a gift that may, or may not have, taken a lot of thought. I really like that idea. :) Thanks!! Your comment is really encouraging. ♥

This is a new relese but it is an AMAZING book. 5. I think the hardest person in my family to find gifts for is my parents. :) I usually like to get a gift for all my family members. My siblings get small gifts, like gum. lol :)
I think side swept bangs are, um...they're okay. I don't have them. I have regular bangs, but I have seen side swept bangs on people. Some people let them grow really long and get in their face. I can't stand that! But they're okay if they're shorter than your eyes. :) Sorry! I don't mean to discourage you!

    1. Yes, parents can be hard. But, I think my Dad is the hardest. ;) Haha! I know, it is really annoying when they look like they only have one eye or something. But, mine won't be like that. :) I've been warned by a friend that they can be annoying at times, but, I'm still not sure. Thanks for your comment!

  6. I used to hate reading fantasy, but with three fantasy adoring sisters, I soon came to like it. If you don't like fantasy, have you tried sci-fi, spy or mystery? Those are my other favourite genres to read from.
In my family, it's my two living brothers and my dad which is hard to buy for. I've started buying them the same thing each year!
We don't draw names, we each buy gifts for each person. It's a lot of work, but very fun.
I love bangs, I would love to have some, but I'm not sure if I would suit them.

    1. Haha, I think boys are always the hardest to find gifts for. I like getting gifts for each of my family members, but it can be hard to find inexpensive things for them all! ;)

  9. I know this is an old post, but whatever, um I tried to comment on something else and I don't think my comments ever went through.. anyway, I have bangs, I style them both all the way across and to the side. for my face I prefer all the way across. Bangs are work, and sometimes I am like I am growing these dumb things out! But they make me look older and prettier, so I stick with them. Only thing is I worry over my hair a lot, and kinda get weird about if my bangs look nice, if you are a more laid back person you probably have no worries about that, but I get hung up on like I want them to look a certain way and when they don't I get frustrated, I have loosened up recently though and am not so worried about them anymore, mostly even if they aren't doing what I want, it still looks better than without on me, and it adds some interest to my otherwise kinda boring hair lol, and sometimes they will get a bit greasy from being on my forehead but I just wash them then lol.. I dunno if this helps, but what I am saying is, they are work, they can be annoying but they are also worth it. Also, I love reading your blog, it's awesome!

    1. Wow, thanks so much! I kept on asking everyone I knew what they thought about their bangs..but they never would give me a straight answer. This has really helped! And, by the way, I think you are absolutely beautiful!! Thanks! Do you have a blog? :)

    2. Haha yeah I tried getting opinions as well and people would kinda just skirt around the question and change the subject, I was like okay.... haha, But I decided to try and even though they're work I am definitely happy I got them. Aww thank you!!!! That's so sweet! I think you are beautiful as well! And I think you would look lovely with or without bang, whichever you decide, the nice thing is, it's just cutting your hair, like I know it seems like a big thing to do, cutting bangs, but hey will grow out, and there are ways to make your hair grow faster if you hate them, there are also hair styles you can do to keep them back while you grow them out, so I say go for it!! But it's up to you.
No, I do not have a blog, but I love reading peoples blogs and I am so happy to have found some Conservative Christian girls blogging about real life and things, it's awesome!!!!!

    3. I know! You are like "hello?! I was not asking about how it felt.. I was wondering if you LIKED them!". :D And still..they would not answer. I think that helped to steer me away from getting the bangs. I'm glad you like them!! :) Aww..thanks. That is true! It is my hair.. :) Okay, maybe you should start a blog sometime? :) I am very glad you like my blog! I'll keep on posting for you. :D

  10. Yeah, I think it would have me too, I am not sure I would be good at a blog, I love to write and talk and all that, but I am head over heels in School, Work, Music, Reading, Chores, Pinterest... l okay I could quit that one if I HAD to lol, But it is very helpful for keeping track of things on the internet and finding inspiration. So for now, I think a blog is not so good an idea, perhaps later when life slows down, I think if I did blog it would be a DIY and sewing/knitting/crochet blog mostly with a few random life posts every now and then, but I don't think my life is exciting enough to blog about just anything haha. Thank you very much!! I would appreciate it if you did not stop anytime soon lol but that's perhaps selfish of me..... So I will say this, I hope you continue to post, but if for some reason you have to stop I will understand. There now I sound like a really nice person. ( ;P ) Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Auburn Red hair!! I have a friend whose hair is naturally the most gorgeous auburn, and it's thick and curly and I love it haha I have thought about dying my hair with Henna as well but dying my hair is more scary to me than cutting it. I have a few random questions, What State do you live in? What denomination are you?? how many siblings do you have? Are you homeschooled? What grade? Do you play any musical instruments?? Do you ever communicate personally like one on one with any blog follower people?? ( well that sounded weird...)

    1. Yeah, I know what you mean.. it can get like that often for me with my blog. I just post when I have the time and something interesting to post about! :) Haha, I'll try not to stop soon. :) I do too. Auburn is so pretty! :) It always reminds me of Anne from Anne of Green Gables. :) I'm sorry..but I try not to give that kind of information out..but I can answer a few of them! :) I am homeschooled and currently in High school. :) I do not play any instruments..but I would love to! I've always loved the violin. :) I do often keep in touch with a few of my followers/blogger friends. :) It is one of my most favorite part of blogging. Have a great Tuesday! :)
