You. Are. CHALLENGED

April 15, 2015
Here I am...sitting on my bedroom floor listening to the Piano Guys. I'm plugged into the wall because I forgot to charge my phone last night. Today I decided to post about an awesome, gigantic, NEVER ENDING, antique/auction shop in my town. It's huge!! There wasn't anything real junky..it was just really cool. I'm serious. I walked into this place thinking it was rather small. After going through one room I turned to see another..and another. I was beginning to see why my Mom challenged me by saying "Let's see if you can find your sisters!".

I did find them..it surprisingly didn't take too long. I was just thankful that I did see them.

I have had a lot of girls comment on my blog and state that I had the best places in my town(s) around me...well, I seriously doubt I'm the only one with neat finds! I've been living here for most if my life and never knew about this place. So, let's see if you can find a building, shop, or business that you've never noticed before. Take some photos, write up a blog post titled "My awesome small town!" Let's see how many shops we can all find! And I'd really like it if you would give me the link to your blog just in case I don't follow you. I love new blogs to follow! :D

What is your favorite Piano Guys song?
How did you find my blog?
Link your blog below!

  1. Ohh, this is a cool challenge! I live in the middle of the country, so I'll just have to go to the small town nearest us and do this. =D I've never listened to Piano Guys, so I wouldn't know. XD I think I found your blog through Jessica Joys, you commented and I just followed the link. =)
    Keep up the good posts!

    1. I'm glad you like this...the idea came out of no where! ;) I can't wait to see your post. :) Ohh, you should listen to them. I think their classical music would really help with your writing. Ohh, I think you are right. :D Thanks, you too!

  2. Julia, this is the best challenge ever! Though that antique mall seriously looks like the coolest place ever.

I want that organ! It makes me think of the book "Strawberry Girl" for some reason. :)

Hmm...favorite Piano Guys song? How on earth do I make a decision like that? The first PianoGuys song I heard was "Peponi" and it's still kind of close to my heart since it's the song that got me hooked on their music.

I can't remember exactly how I found your blog, but I'm guessing it was through another blog/blogger.

    1. Wow, I am so excited that you like it! I guess you could say it came out of the blue. ;) Hey, I LOVE "Strawberry Girl!" Did you read all of Lois Lenski's books? They were just grand! :D
Oh, I like that one two. I also really like "Me and My Cello" as well as "One thousand Years". :) I forget my first song that I heard.. I watched one of their music videos first. Those things rock! ;)

It's funny.. you've been commenting on my blog for a while, but I thought you were a different blogger, so I didn't check out your blog. Then I looked at it the other day and couldn't believe what I was missing out on! :D Keep it up. ♥

  6. That piano (or is it an organ? I can't tell the difference between the two) looks so cool! My town only has thrift shops, not antique stores, which is sad, but one aspect I do love about my town, which has been existing for about 100 years or so, is that you can tell which parts of town are older by the road and building aspects. I live on the new side of town, but whenever I go to Town's Square the tall skyscrapers always have these cracks in them and are slanting at an angle, and the roads aren't as neat looking.

I found your blog a bit after you commented on mine, and well, now I follow you, and I'm glad I do! :) You shed light on certain aspects of life that I often don't see, which I love.

    xoxo Morning

    1. I believe it is an organ..and a very beautiful one at that! :) I actually didn't know we had an antique shop before. We stopped there real quick and were surprised at what was in there. Your town sounds so neat! I think it was two years ago when they knocked down the most beautiful silk factory in my town..it was so old! They did save the cool clock tower though.

Wow..you are so sweet. I guess you could say Christ has shown me new things as well..which I love. :) Thanks for your encouraging comment!

Favorite piano guys song?! That is probably impossible for me to have one because with dancing and all we dance to there songs all the time! I don't know what one of them is called but two of my friends and I had to make up a dance to it and it was a lot of fun!

I found your blog from SKG ;) I went on there blog for the first time and your button was on the side bar and they had under it " check out this awesome blog! " So I clicked on it and have loved your blog ever since!

    2. I really really love Peponi. We used to listen to it all the time at the warehouse when we were packing packages, so now listening to it makes me kinda sad. But I still love it! And the one where he's bringing his cello all around. That song is awesome.

  11. I'm not going to say my town isn't that great, because to be honest, it has some pretty awesome places....it even has a ice cream place that's old fashioned. Now that is awesome. It's so cute and quaint, and there's so many other awesome places around here. This is a really good idea! You have some pretty cool places in your town too. I don't even remember how I found your blog, maybe through Eve? I dunno. Anyways, I'm glad I did. We should talk sometime =)
