On the riverside // 100th post!

April 6, 2015

For my youngest brother's birthday (back in March) we went to a museum. It was a lot of fun to watch all of my siblings running around and touching everything that says "touch me". They would gasp at the awesome airplanes hanging in the ceiling. Once in a while you would even hear the gigantic clock chime. We saw a real mummy..and a few fake ones. Everyone rode on the carousel round and around. We all shared some cookies and looked over the river. The planetarium was open and we all watched a sunset and looked at the stars. It was amazing! We walked in the "old town" and walked into the print shop where a man was using an old press! He showed us all how it worked..shall we say awesome?!

This is also my 100th post! Sorry if it was a lame post, but I really wanted to post all of these photos before they got really old. lol! So, what's new with you? Did you pull any jokes on your family and friends for April Fools? I sure did! My most successful one was on my mom though. I hard boiled a few eggs, and when she went to bake something for dinner she found this..........

What did you do for April Fools?
What have you been doing this month?

  2. That prank you did for April Fool's day is hilarious! And man, that museum looks awesome; all that there is in the museum here is mainly artifacts from my state. :)

  5. Julia, that was quite the April Fool's prank! I didn't really play any pranks and I fortunately didn't have any pranks pulled on me. :P

    1. Well..I can be quite something when I try. ;) Oh, but pranks are so much fun!! :D

Thank you very much. I have had my blog for a while, but I like to post interesting posts every time, so that's why I have much less posts than a lot of other bloggers. :P I love your blog!

    1. Thanks Micaiah! You are so sweet to keep up with me..I feel like I am a horrible friend indeed. I have been trying to finish my math...so most of my time spent on the computer is doing algebra. I did 6 lessons today. :P

And, yes, it was very good! :)

    2. Oh, thank you, Julia! Don't worry about it! :D I know you've been busy. :) You do algebra on the computer? Yeah...my algebra went all right today. It was just a review, however, so I can take the Self Test and then Test tomorrow! :) That is a lot of work (6 lessons!!?).

Cool! I might check into reading it. :) Right now I am reading 'The Hiding Place' on Corrie ten Boom - have you read that? It's good! I've also started The Giver. Have you heard of that? I decided to read it because I really, really enjoyed the movie. :) So far the book is good, but I'm not very far into it yet.

    3. Yes, I do Teaching Textbooks which is a CD based thing. I watched lectures and then answer a ton of problems. :D Yeah...I know. If I am going to finish by May 1st I need to to 2-3 lessons a day. Yayyy... :P

Oh, I LOVE the Hiding Place! I got it from my library (at their book sale shop) for 0.99!! :D I have never read, or watched the Giver, but I have heard of it. Would you recommend the movie? Have a great day! :)

    4. Oh.... :/ That's no fun! Math is difficult enough without throwing three lessons a day in there... ;) I actually enjoy it though (it's been a little bit confusing recently, but I'll get it!). :) For my math I do PACEs from ACE (Accelerated Christian Education). I like the curriculum. :) Have you heard of them?

Yeah! The Hiding Place is really good so far! Corrie and her family just got arrested... So things are picking up! :O I would definitely recommend the movie version of The Giver! I loved it. I haven't really liked the book as much though. The movie was really well done, however, and I really enjoyed it! So good. :D I hope to buy it soon I liked it so much!! :)

    5. Hahaa, yeah! :P No, I haven't heard of those.. I use Teaching Textbooks. :)

I'm glad! I love it too...and it is very sad. Have you ever watched the movie? It is oh, so sad... :( Thanks, I'll have to look into the Giver. :)

    6. I haven't watched the movie version of The Hiding Place! I'm sure it would be sad!!
Sure! If you ever do watch The Giver, email me and tell me what you think of it! (Even if you don't like it very much...) ;) It is a bit different, since it's a 'Utopia' movie. :)

  8. That looks like a really fun trip! I love your prank! I may have to try that one out next year. I think I'd end up eating the eggs before anyone got a chance to find them though. I didn't play any pranks this year because I couldn't find my rubber cockroach. Congrats on your 100th post!!

    1. Ohhh, let me know if you do! Haha, I know.. I really wanted to eat it (especially after the 2 hour mark of waiting) but I kept on waiting. It was worth the wait! :D Uhh..rubber cockroach? May I ask what you were going to do with it? And better yet, why do you have one around period?! :D Thanks!

  9. Love those pictures! I love museums, but I don't get to visit them often enough. Egyptian museum exhibits are the most fascinating I think.

    1. I'm not sure, I've never really been to a real museum. I have been to a space museum, though, and I really LOVED it! Years ago, some old friends paid for the whole family to go the Kennedy Space Center when we lived in FL. It was a blast!!!
