Salt and Pepper // library card

September 23, 2015
The other day I went to a fall festival! The weather was perfect for what you'd expect for a fall day - slightly cool with the wonderful dark clouds that loom on such days. The festival was held at a park and it had over 100 booths! It was mostly a crafty place, somewhere for people who handcrafted things could sell them and get their product known. It was really cool to see different ideas! One of my favorites were the little birds that were carved out of wood. Some were salt and pepper shakers, others were Christmas tree ornaments and key chain accessories. ADORABLE! :D  And, the wood wasn't dyed or anything. I love that kind of art.

There was also a band playing and since I love music so much, you can be sure I was mostly paying attention to it. The music was a different style then I have ever heard. It was a mix between classical and a sort of rock. Now, I am NOT a rock kind of girl at all. Like nooooo way could you ever get me to listen to it, but this was really cool! It reminded me of the twist that the Piano Guys do. ;) I tried to record a video, but about 20 seconds into it, a lady noticed I was filming and started staring at me like "are you done yet so I can walk where I wanted to go?" kind of look. lol! I pretended like I didn't notice her and like I was turning it off anyways. ;) haha!

I am such a library gal. I could be there everyday, all day, and I couldn't possibly get tired of it. Okay, I might.. but for one day I think it would be heavenly. ;) I have my favorite place at my favorite library. It actually doesn't involve any books..strange I know. But, in fact, my special place is the staircase. The architecture is fascinating and it looks out on the river. Another thing I love is that I can peak into storage room where the OLD OLD OLD books are kept. I really want to explore in there. Someday.

Do you have a special spot at your library??
Did you know today is the first day of Autumn?

  1. That festival sounds super neat! Whenever I record videos, it always has people's heads in them because I have short arms. XD I love the library too; my favorite place is this Teenage Hangout area where there's a huge touchscreen board, a laptop cart, beanie bag chairs, and the best part of all? It's on the third floor, so when you look out the window, you can see the city-- people and lights in motion-- and it's one of the most beautiful, tranquil things I have ever seen.

    xoxo Morning

  3. I did know it was the first day of fall yesterday.
I am a GIGANTIC book worm! I LOVE reading. But the library...most of their books are too unwholesome to read. Instead, I ask the library to order books for me. Like, the Christian Cowgirl Series by Lauren K. Lotter, and another really good godly Christian series. What kind of books do you find at your public library? I am going to have a library when I get older and provide the public with godly wholesome books and videos.

    1. Yahoo! Another bookworm! :D I know, it's really sad isn't it.. :P Those books sound like my type! I love westerns. ;) Well, I mostly order books from Al Lacy, who write western novels. :) I also find many old books with historical theme because I adore history. :D I have started to collect books and now I have almost 100 books! You should start now. :D

but that festival sounds so awesome! it sounds great. Yeah, I don't have a library card, but I want to get one eventually I suppose. I love the library too. Our local one has huge windows in the wall and a comfy rocking chair that coincidentally sits right next to the Nancy Drew section..so haha that's sort of a plus :) but i don't always read those books either ^_^

  6. The festival sounds so fun! We have a farmers market every Saturday downtown, where they sell little trinkets, vegetables, baked goods and there is live music as well! Ha ha! That classical stuff mixed with rock is strange! I'm not a big fan of the electric violins especially in that type of music:)
I love the library! I haven't had time to go lately, I don't even have time for extra reading. The books I read for school are keeping my reading life pretty busy:)
    Love you girl!
