yoga ball // november challenge

January 14, 2016
I remember when we first moved to the house we live in now, I thought the basement was HUGE. I imagined me doing the moon walk (not the dance moon walk..you know, the slow-motion walk astronauts do) from one end to the other.  Bree, Sarah, and I would literally RUN across the room with a yoga ball doing all sorts of weird jumps and tumbles.. now its so small I only have to take 4-5 steps to get to the other end of the room. We now enjoy watching period dramas and painting with watercolors in our little basement. ;)

I posted on my Google+ account the other day, and some of you may have seen it, but I've been having these really weird dreams lately. One included mexican rice and charging our oven (??) every 15 minutes.. another was that JOSH WILSON was in MY house! Yeah, no joke here. He was telling me all about his next big hit - which he said was inspired by my comment on his FB when his son was born a few months ago. like wooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

In November, I took the KBR Givethanks challenge. I enjoyed it immensely!! If you've never taken it, its so simple. You write down 7 things each day that you are thankful for, either on paper or the forum where all the other girls post. I use the forum. ;) I made many great friends who made the month so uplifting.. I felt like it was a big camp and I didn't want it to end. xD

Weirdest dream?
 Favorite period drama??

  2. Josh Wilson was in your house!!! Can I touch you?? XD
Those are some crazy dreams...and funny you should bring it up, I've been having strange dreams lately too. Last night I had dreams about Avalon (an old Christian band I'm really into right now) like ALL night. And I also kept dreaming about Wal-Mart...like there was this big festival or something there, and I was asking my parents if I could get a new science notebook for school, because I found a really nice one with my fave member of Avalon on it. XD
As for my weirdest dream....I have no idea. Maybe the one where I was in the jungle and there were stuffed animals and animal puppets falling from the trees. Then I had to go home and get more stuffed animals to put in the trees so they could fall from them....yeeeah, that was really strange.

I honestly can't remember my strangest dream ever. It has to be my Mexican rice one though.. I left out the embarrassing part though. xD

  4. Ah, yes, the give thanks challenge... I'm so glad I joined! I didn't want it to end either!!!
I saw your dream question on Google+, but for some reason I can't comment on your account? Either way, the dream that I guess is the strangest, given how memorable it has proved to be to my sister since I told it to her, was the one where my best friend came to visit, and brought the horse she owned at the time with her... of course, we don't have a barn, so we tried to find some place to board it, and, long story short, after many failed attempts, we ended up at one that was run by Will Turner (side note: I've never even seen Pirates of the Caribbean). We were standing waiting for him to deal with us, when someone came up with a foal, and he yelled at them "I AM NOT A BABAYSITTER!!!! I train adult horses, I can't do anything with that!". And I thought he was so harsh and rude that we left... come to think of it, we never got her horse boarded, hahaha! It was weird...

  5. Heyyyy, my room isn't that small. Next time you are down there, we are going to test that theory! I believe that it is much larger than 4-5 steps across. ;)

And, you should've mentioned Little House on the Prairie, pickles, and dried fruit. Hehee.

    Love your sis, Bree

  6. I love the photos you took in this post! I don't know if you received a new camera or tried a photo filter but whatever it is, it's beautiful. I've had so many weird dreams... for quite a period of time, I'd always have dreams of a mall, and there would be many nights where I would wander down a section of the mall, and it would always been different. The most recent dream I had in the mall was being in the hotel part of the section (is there such thing as a hotel part? LOL) and then going down to the 25 floor of 200 (GASP!) to go and eat ice cream in a fancy private restaurant, then head down to basement 5 (DOUBLE GASP!) to go and get more ice cream from the food court. XD The hotel also had a bookstore that had this bamboo type feel with warm lights and such. It's the coolest thing ever.

    1. Morning - that is the kindest thing EVER! I seriously took these on my iphone, my iphone 4 actually.. lol! It's not the best quality, but I make the best of it. You've really inspired me to focus even more on my photography!
WHAT. a mall with 200 floors AND 5 basements?! This place would NOT be a good place to lose a little kid. xD lol!! But, mmmm... I want ice cream now. lol!

  7. Julia, that is so hysterical! Weird dreams are the best. These days I don't remember my dreams very well. I usually just wake up with a sensation of "that was weird" and then the memory of the actual dream fades rather quickly. Or maybe my dreams are so weird and incoherent that they're impossible to remember!

One of the weirdest dreams I distinctly remember as a kid was a dream about an evil man who decided to shrink me, my family, and my friends. It was funny running around with giant people, houses, roads, and everything around as we tried to find the "secret serum" that would make us grow back to normal size. :)

As for period dramas, there are so many that I love it is hard to choose! I really love the 2009 BBC miniseries of Jane Austen's "Emma" the one starring Ramola Garai and Jonny Lee Miller. I also love the BBC adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell's "North & South" with Richard Armitage. :)

    1. LOL! Aren't they??? Ohh - that is the sign that you are not getting enough sleep AND you are waking up too quickly. ;) I'm kidding.. I don't know, but that's the case for me. lol! Ohh! Have you ever flown in your dreams?? IT IS THE WEIRDEST SENSATION! I literally remember how my stomach felt all fluttery. ;) I would love to find a secret serum though. lol!

Oohh! Me TOO! I LOVE that Emma.. I like her acting MUCH better - though I personally feel the guy who acted Mr. Knightly before was a bit more handsome. ;) ohh goodness, if you want to talk Richard Armitage - you need to find my older sister Bree. She'll chat for hours with you. ;)

  8. Weirdest dream???? Oh dear . . . lol one time I was locked in a car with all these people outside of the car, hitting it and trying to get in. yeah, that freaked me out. When I was little I also used to have a nightmare about this guy who would come over once a year, dress up as a dragon (except he really WAS a dragon--does that make sense? ;)), and we'd play hide and seek and he had to find us.
The nightmare finally ceased coming after one night in my twelfth year, I begged the guy in the dream to take his mask off before he found me so I wouldn't be scared.
He has never come around since. ;)

  9. That sounds like a really cool challenge. I might attempt something similar to it myself! Thank you for idea.
Ooh I period dramas. However fun your orginal use of the basement was, your new one sounds much nicer! I have this strange thing that when I'm sick the only thing I want to watch are period dramas. That having been said, I still can't pick a favourite. I've watched and enjoyed far too many for that!

Though I also like waltons, Little House, or westerns.. I think especially waltons though. Have you watched the waltons? :) Haha! I couldn't pick a favorite, I think because I'm always changing my moo. ;)
