phone in the sink // glorious cupcakes

April 14, 2016
HOW NOT TO START A DAY -- You wake up late. oh snap!! You look in the mirror. oh my gosh, I need to shower... You grab your phone to see the alarm had been going off. seriously!!? JULIA!!  Your sister comes in your room and you're like; "IS THE SHOWER AVAILABLE?!" thank goodness..if it wasn't....grrrrrr

You decide to get some music going. maybe josh wilson will brighten this day... You set your phone on the counter top, then your mom's phone rings. oh my word no, it's the dentist...not TODAY. You glace over at your mom, who is washing her hands in the bathroom sink and BUMP into the water it goes. gggaaaaaasssspppppp!!!!!!!!

My speakers no long work...unless I put headphones in. Maybe I should have stayed in bed?? I've literally been feeling like that for that for the past week. I blamed it on a ton of stuff.  Finally, I decided to ask God to just SNAP ME OUT OF IT. He did! Even though today has been crazy, I'm actually doing great.

and, yes. I have to go to the dentist in..oh, 30 minutes. dumb tooth. lol

How do you handle waking up late?
Have you ever gotten your iPhone wet??

  1. Oh my, there is nothing more disorienting than waking up late! I usually just panic, slap on some make-up as fast as I possibly can, try and get my hair into some sort of semblance that does not look like I just woke up...and then I drink a lot of coffee and proceed in a mild state of panic for the rest of the day. ;)

Those cupcakes look delicious, by the way. I wish I could eat one!

  3. Oh! I hope your day gets better. (Although, going to the dentist usually doesn't help. :P Did your appointment go well?) I don't handle waking up late very well either. But your point of asking God to snap you out of it is encouraging. I should do that when I have those days.

    1. Thank you!! Gosh, you guys are all making me smile. :D It actually did! I'm hoping that it's actually fixed. My dentist said my bite was off from the filling I got last fall. He had to grind down...ohhhkkayy, I won't give you the details. LOL!! I always tend to forget that I can call on God to snap me out of my little hole. He's got it. ;)

  5. Oh, my iPod has been through so much! First it went through the washing machine, then It got dumped in a bucket of ammonia and water when I was cleaning the bathroom. The speakers went out for a few days then they came back. Hopefully yours come back to!:)

    1. oh my GOSH!!!! Whhhaaat?!! How is it still working?!! That thing is tough! My dad is joking that it had to have been wrapped in saran wrap and then duct taped. :P That's just crazy though. ;) They actually did!! It was hilarious - I was just texting and all of a sudden I heard the little "clicky clicky". haha! I was like "YESSSS!"

  6. Never my iPod, but I did drop a earphone in the sink one time while doing dishes. It stopped working for a bit, but then after a while it started working again. So how was the dentist's?? I might need to get some teeth pulled...

    1. Oh I have done that before. I was SOO mad at myself because I pride myself for always keeping headphones alive the longest. :P :P It was..INTERESTING. He basically found out my bite was off and tried to fix it by grinding the teeth down....yeeaaah. gross. :P

  7. AWWW I FEEL FOR YOU. haha, waking up late has to be one of the worst things ever. Thankfully though, usually someone in my family comes and persistently (VERY VERY persistently) tells me GET UP RIGHT NOW. and i willingly *cough* oblige. ;) but yeah, typically when i wake up late i'm just as jumbled and disorganized as anybody. I always feel like i forgot something when i'm racing out the door, and i probably did. AGH. :)

BTW, i recognized that first picture from instagram =) xD CUPCAKES!

    1. Waking up late is about as bad as NOT BEING ABLE TO FALL ASLEEP - even though you're deadly exhausted. :P Hahaa!! That's great though..well sorta. I was like "HEY?! Why didn't anyone wake me up????" Oh, I hate forgetting stuff. I think I really hate waiting for the moment that I figure out WHAT I had forgotten. :P

haha! I know, I know. It was actually a different one, but yeaaaah, I had to post it. :P

  8. I'm sorry that you got your iPhone wet! Usually I know I tend to drop stuff so whenever I'm close to a water source, I back away eight feet (four extra feet in case I trip and it starts flying into the air). But agggghhh those cupcakes look so nice and yummy and very Tumblr like. Cupcakes make everything better-- unless someone besides you ate all of them. :D

    xoxo Morning

    1. I was too! :P You won't believe it though, after about 5 hours, the sound came back!!! Hahaaa!! I have actually been super "lucky" when it comes to that. I've dropped my phone COUNTLESS times, and now I just shrug because it's fine every time. lol I even fell into a river with it in my pocket BUT the pocket where my phone was stayed DRY. It was sooo weird! Oh thank you!! I was super happy with out the photo turned out in the end. Haha, that's the truth! Maybe I should have a cupcake party ;) wouldn't that be fun, with all us bloggers?!
