boho hair wrap // pinterest diy-ness

July 26, 2016

 I saw this boho hair wrap the other day on pinterest and literally was like;

"SARAH I WANT TO DO THIS."

She had the floss...and the beads..and she did all the cool floss work for me. WHAT CAN I SAY? SHES AWESOME KK? Oh. and she took the photos for me. With her camera. which she bought. and hahaaaa yeah, I love that girl.

 We all sat around in Sarah's room (yes we even bombarded her room LOL), watching Walton's -- WHO ELSE LOVES THE WALTONS -- last weekend doing this. It took a long while if you have long hair, but it was fun cause we were just chilling. *wink* Our youngest sister came into the room, and saw all the floss. She was like;

"I want this purple...and this pink..and this blue." CAN WE SAY CUTE OR WHAT? Before we knew it all of the girls were sitting around doing each other's hair.

Ohhhh, but one thing, make sure you do the boho wrap in a reasonable spot in your hair, otherwise certain hairstyles are impossible.

p.s. what's your thought on raisins? (random here *laughs*)

Do you like boho??
Ever try a hair wrap?

goofing off in a theater // finding dory

July 22, 2016

We FINALLY went to go see Finding Dory AGKAJSHLHSJAJDKL AHHHHHHHHHHHH GUYS LITTLE DORY IS SO CUTE BUT IM GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF SO ILL TRY TO CALM DOWN

SEEEEEE -- anyways

The theater was empty, people. Bree, me and Sarah walked into the theater to see seats - JUST SEATS. No heads!
The movie was already started, so I walked down all the aisles, checking for people with my phone flashlight. Then burst out laughing. IT WAS EMPTY.

 "WHERE DO YOU WANNA SIT?"
"UHHH THE VERY BACK."
 No whispering needed.

We broke out into song when "It's a wonderful world" came on. CAUSE WE ARE JAZZ FANS.*fist bump*

*CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH*
*SLLLUUURRRP*
"YO SARAH, WANT SOME CHOCOLATE?"

We called out (people are listening to us right?? *cringes*) in the dark theater asking them turn the heat up CAUSE IT IS JUST US or DOES IT GET COLDER AS THE MOVIE GOES?!? *scratchy low voice* I knew it

And when the movie ended, we wandered around the room -- I danced to the end credits - whacking my elbow on a chair. DID YOU KNOW THOSE THINGS ARE VERY HARD?? Yeah. blood was involved *laughs*

P.S Uhhhh.. look at this old post which Emily just found >> Finding...dory??! <<

Have you ever sat in an empty theater??
ISNT DORY ADORBS?

Snapfish VS Shutterfly // square prints

July 18, 2016
I have looooadddss of square prints *races upstairs to my bedroom to count* *tumbles down the stairs* *out of breath*
 60. Yup, SIXTY. THE BIG SIX O
I basically ran out of space on my walls, and cork boards *laughs* so this time around, I had to be creative. << Check out my instagram post here >>

I've tested both Shutterfly AND Snapfish prints -- *puts on news reporter voice* I'm here to tell you which you should buy -- CAUSE YOUVE GOT TO ALRIGHT - SQUARE PRINTS ROCK

Snapfish pros -
  • they're website design makes sooo much sense (thats a big deal to me)
  • square prints are $0.20
  • first timers get 100 FREE (YES I SAID FREE) 4x6 prints
  • they have password reset for all those people who forget passwords (LIKE ME)
  • SHIPPING IS AMAZING LIKE 3 DAYS PEEPS

Shutterfly pros--
  • if you want an instagram-y look, GET THESE
  • you can upload directly from your personal instagram account
  • they also have password resets *laughs because yes I forgot that one too*

Snapfish cons -
  • don't save all your images as "j2" over and over and over again in an effort to save space on your computer -- they don't recognize the different photos :|
  • they have a standard shipping price, which can be annoying if you are only getting a few prints, BUT AMAZING if you're getting a lot *wink*
Shutterfly cons--
  • Square prints are $0.25
  • they make good photos look dark and grainy
  • SHIPPING STINKS LIKE ONE WHOLE WEEK TO GET TO US
  • Shipping prices vary in a CRAZY amount of money

I'm a Snapfish lover *thumbs up*

Snapfish or Shutterfly for you?
Can you list any more pros for Shutterfly??

July 13, 2016
I was on Pinterest the other day when I saw this pin of "Best Friend Goals : Calling out Marco and your best friend replies with Polo" I was like AKSJHLADJG YESSSSS THIS IS SO PERFECT.

But YEAH RIGHT RIGHT? *scoffs in disbelief*

I was standing in Walmart just the next day, smelling lotions and picking out a new nail polish. (hahaaa I have this thing for lotion) when I suddenly heard:

 "MARCO"

Then shortly after the reply was heard - "POLO" - And a burst of laughter sprung from the two friends. I looked at Sarah was was like "THAT PIN". She knew what I meant, because sisters always do. *laughs*

Okay, so apparently all the things that I think are impossible, happen in Walmart. Anyone remember Mr. Kilt dude??? Yeeahh, I know. lol!

OH AND GUYS IM AT 12,948 WORDS IN MY NOVEL. CAMP NANO LEGIT ROCKS OKAY

How is Camp Nano going for you?
Ever cry Marco Polo in Walmart??

we are sisters // the secret is out

July 9, 2016
yeah, I know. That wallpaper. ugh. we got rid of it. I promise.
yeahhhh...we've gained some sense of style since them
sooooo this is Sarah (italic) >> And, this is me, Julia. *grins*

so you may have wondered why I ALWAYS talk about Julia. And why I ALWAYS talk about Sarah -- and include random photos of her. you MAY have thought us besties or something. Well, we are...but, we are also..

SISTERS. Blood thick ewww sisters. And, I'm older. Though many of you have thought I the elder. HA.*rolls eyes in annoyance* Whateves

Our sort of sisterly relationship you ask?
Weird. Sporadic, and the knock against the wall type. Not in anger though!!
yeah, actually, I can't even remember the last time I was mad. O.o And if you do vow not to talk to her because you are mad--she'll march into your room and sit herself down on your bed and start talking and you forget all about it in a minute. Your room is so cute though! Besides, we've always been like that.

"I'm not going to play with you anymore!"
"Fine."
5 MINUTES LATER
"Wanna play??"
"Sure!"

So, people. Now the secret is out.
We are sisters.

did you ever suspect we were sisters?
are you completely shocked?

boxed blueberry pancakes // camping 2K16

July 5, 2016
When I usually eat pancakes, they are homemade. *squeaky rewind music like on a VHS* let's be honest here, I can't cook pancakes. Waffles, yes. Bagels, yes, English muffins, yup. BUT I CANT MAKE PANCAKES. I usually ask Sarah to make them, because they turn out perfectly round and golden *moans* SOMEHOW.

BUT WHEN CAMPING, you must adapt. Roughing it...with boxed pancake mix. *cringes* They looked good, they even smelled okayish, but um. THEY WERE SO SWEET (and yes, I finished my no sugar thing. Starting two weeks today). I didn't really care though, cooking over an open flame was just so STINKING cool.

I could have sat there for most of the day flipping those pancakes - well maybe.

Annnnndd, no, this camping trip wasn't pre-planned at all. Legit decided upon the evening before. *fist bump* Highlights you ask?? Walking under the stars at 11:45 p.m for one last *chuckles* restroom break for the night about 1/2 mile away. I'm serious!! <3

oh, and I caught 4 fish *grin*

Do you like homemade or boxed pancakes?
What did you do for July 4th??

DONT GROW UP // he wore a kilt

July 1, 2016
obviously I am rather...bold with words?
First of all -- ITS JULY 1ST! THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP NANO - THE FIRST DAY OF WRITING 1,000 WORDS A DAY. ACK ACK ACK.

My sisters (those crazy gals) and I just repainted the huge place my parents call a bedroom (CEILING, WALLS (like 4 stinking coats) AND THE FLOOR - oh and the trim too) as an early birthday gift to my Mom. Hobby Lobby was our "little" decorating trip. *wink*

okay, what is more fun than a group of gals?! NOTHIN'. We stopped into Walmart and it was my job to go find bleach, coconut, and cornstarch. (yes - no joke!!)

As I was struggling with the two gallons of bleach in one hand, and my arms stuffed, I randomly looked up and saw this white fluffy, bearded man. He had these twinkling, smiling eyes. Just a normal shirt, work boots, a dirtyish looking tan, quite normal -- OH AND A KILT. YES. A KILT.

kilt
/kilt/
noun
  1. 1.
a garment resembling a knee-length skirt of pleated tartan cloth, traditionally worn by men as part of Scottish Highland dress and now also worn by women and girls.
verb
  1. 1.
gather (a garment or material) in vertical pleats.
    "kilted skirts"

YES THAT EXACTLY *nods to google in approval*

He then looked at me and said "Good day, miss.", then he proceeded to walk into the baking aisle.

Bree and Sarah still don't believe me *scoffs in disbelief* My mom believes me -- I MEAN HOW COULD I MAKE IT UP? I'm not that great at storytelling -- yet. *wink*

Do YOU believe me??
How is day 1 of Camp NaNo going?
