Yup. You guessed it - still painting

bought a HAPPY planner (post on that later) and ouch it was $23 LETS HOPE IT IS WORTH IT.

gardening until 11 pm to get the garden planted before 90 degrees hit

"If I were a plant, I'd want to be planted at night. bc then you can wake up in the morning."

*driving home while the sun is setting*
"It's a full sun!" - my dad

"Have a nice day, ma'am!" -lady at desk

*me and Sarah walk out to car silently* *me start engine then turns to sarah*

"Why did she call me ma'am?" - me

"Idk" -Sarah

Me - "what are you doing?"
Her - "checking the wind"

Me : "what's your favorite food?"
Little sis : what's my favorite food? CAKE."

"sister I need to tell you something. When I wake up..I smell like macaroni." - little sis

"Can I read your poetry book? I mean, why do you want your friends to read it but I haven't yet?" - bro
Me - "Uhm..idk"
"How much is it?"

"Oh okay. Well good thing we are siblings cuz I can just read it for free." - bro

*outside working on garden* *little sis runs out and grabs hose*
"Come on team! We can do this!"

*me at park with sibs*"This is my friend!" - little bro

"Uhmmm....Cliff....??"
*random little boy sarcastically* "it's Canyon."
*me bursts into laughter*

"Sister! When you go under you HAVE to close your eyes, mouth and plus your nose. Do like I do!" *little sis in pool talking to older sister who's been swimming longer than she's been alive*

June is one of my most favorite months and now its slipped by HOW HORRIBLE OH SADNESS OVERLOAD. *pulls myself together* I know its dumb, but I really like how June looks when written? Don't even try to comprehend that. but no matter what WHERE DID THE MOMENTS GO. still tho, I wouldn't trade where I am at for anything -- each day is crammed and each day I sleep sound and hard bc this is life and this is good.

my life at the moment is a major blur (aka why these photos are in this post) of "I'm so busy." "I'm so tired." a feeling I'm sure you all know/feel. also, I must admit, being graduated has affected me more than I had thought. Like, okay, my bedroom is set up for the julia-who-had-school. My planner worked better then because I would actually SEE it when I sat down. Now?

well, basically I've got 3 out of my 4 drawers in my dresser half open with stuff hanging out of them. IM TRYING TO FIND THINGS. My desk has layers and layers of papers -- legit. also books, cds, pens, random wrappers (mmm i want more licorice now). ITS LIKE WHAT NOW. And, all of this is because of work/life. I mean, lets face it, we allll rush into our room .2 seconds before leaving the house looking for that shoe.

IT HAPPENS.

I UNDERSTAND.

BUT NO MATTER WHAT IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

I'm constantly forgetting what I'm supposed to do, where I need to go..like twice now I've returned library dvds WITHOUT THE DVD IN IT. #sorrylibrarians My mind is rather...messy. so as Sarah calls it, I'm trying to "get my life organized". (TOTALLY NOT WRITING THIS POST AND RESEARCHING FOR A PLANNER WHILST MY ROOM IS A WRECK *nervous laugh*) I think I actually found a planner which will help me tho???

The one thing its lacking tho is  -- BUDGET HELP.  I really want to be able to work, earn money, splurge once in a while, but also set aside said money. I MEAN THATS SMART RIGHT?? I'm still searching for something on that... any ideas?? 

yesterday Sarah and I picked 56 quarts of strawberries. just thought that was random enough to share.

Yesterday I was at Menards for the 2nd time this week (yes more projects hehehe also why i am busy wow) and one of the employees looked at me and said "wow you are like living here now!" I laughed and said I loved the place. also, there was an adorable little girl holding her daddy's hand who's name was Julia there, so yes, this place is gold right. 

btw, sometimes I sit down and posts are written about things I'm thinking about and other times? Well, sometimes I just write, as if you were sitting right next to me and we were having a conversation. This is one of those posts. 

Thanks for being my friend, friend. You're always here to read these wacky things I call blogposts. I'm sorry for being such a nut sometimes.

OKAY LOOK AT THE BLOGPOST TITLE obv this post is going to be gold bc it includes I  C E  C R E A M. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. *drifts off into land of happiness* 

I was thinking the other day about ice cream flavors, because my grandpa brought some over. And, he got "butter pecan" and "triple peanut butter"...basically like his two favorite things. I'm like ewwwwww peanut butter in ICE CREAM (srsly guys something is wrong with that idea.) but like, okay, HE LIKES IT THAT WAY. And, so here I am with a question :

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLAVOR OF ICE CREAM?????? 

bc I'm really curious to know a bit more about YOU. My ice cream always is vanilla based -- chocolate is too overwhelming for me. And UHM ADD FRUIT PPLLLEEEASE. Strawberry jam, blueberries, I DONT CARE just let it be fruit. Also ever have cheesecake chunks in your ice cream *gasps for air* dooooo iitttttt.

But then again, I really like a salted caramel ice cream! AND SHERBET *dies* Put raspberry sherbet in a sugar cone and I'm set for life (well not really who am I kidding.)

so I'm wondering, what does ice cream flavor choices, or the fact that you might have a cone, bowl, or just eat the ice cream straight from the container -- what does this have to say about who we are???? 

omw. am I getting too deep? *realizes I'm writing an entire post about ice cream* *grins bc this is so me* 

I was facetiming yesterday with a friend. She had stopped at the store and gotten chocolate covered pretzels, while her mom got Andes mints and her bro got a Mr. Good Bar. I MEAN CAN WE SEE A THEME HERE???? I do.

Everyone has tastes they prefer while others do not. Sarah LOVES mustard while I won't even touch the bottle. I really like lemon (in like everything) and my older sister is like ewwwwww. ITS SO WEIRD. and honestly, it can be frustrating when you have something you adore and you wanna share it but the other person is like HAHA NO. #uuuhhhgggg

btw, once I ate one of those edible flowers. don't. ever. do. that. k. 

also PLEASE DONT REMIND ME THAT CAMP NANO IS COMING. I still haven't plotted. Why is is this a general theme for my life?????? oh. and summer reading is happening. IM SO FAR BEHIND. *sobs*

HAHAHAAA I ACTUALLY AM A GRADUATE *squeals cuz I survived* // graduation photos under the bridge

the barefoot gal isn't just a blog title. ITS LITERALLY WHO I AM.

like AHHH MY GRADUATION PHOTOS TURNED OUT SO AMAZINGLY. My older sister + Sarah took them and no you can't borrow those gals. 

My graduation trip to the East coast was so unfathomably spectacular but hahhahaaa I got so behind schedule. INCLUDING MY PHOTOS. like generally they're take rather than later? but nope. Not for me -- my announcements went out today. *coughcough*

sooo like I got back and a whirlwind happened (not joking here) and then suddenly everyone was like "we are going to the park" and apparently it was a graduation outing for me?? TOTALLY DIDNT KNOW. my sister made cake for me too and like hahaaha I had no idea my family could pull something like that

IT WAS ALSO PERFECT FOR TAKING PHOTOS THAT DAY. I did think "oh we could take pictures at the park" so I brought my dress and gahhhhhh yes yes yes. I love love love how they look SRSLY AHH

But for reals here, I can't believe I'm actually a graduate. I mean..my whole entire life I've known that "oh I'll be going into 6th, 7th, 8th grade" etc etc. BUT I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT 12TH GRADE WOULD COME AND I WOULD COMPLETE IT. I'm serious. 

I'm here though. I REALLY AM. And, it's slightly terrifying and still doesn't feel real. Yet, on the other hand, it's super exciting and thrilling. I'm sure you graduates understand.

Cuz here we are, able to make new decisions that weren't available to us before + WE HAVE OUR DIPLOMAS WHICH ADMIT IT THAT THING IS NEATO *feels so pro*

just like that *snaps fingers* I'm Julia Ryan the high school graduate. WHERE DID THE TIME FLY. (also I'm not sure if this is weird or not but I remember my first day of school as a kid?? and learning how to read. ah good days) 

If someone asked me if I would want to be little again, I would have to say no. Crazy, IKR. but, I don't know... those days were special, yesterday was amazing, today was spectacular, and tomorrow is unknown. I like that.

SO if you're going to ask me that everlasting and totally predictable question of "so now what?" I'll just toss my hair and grin bc YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT WITH JULIA. just ask my friends + family..hahahaaahaaaa
