I wake up on normal sunny days and just know that I need to use my hands in a useful way. Do something random..like...rip up my bedroom carpet! Yes. I really wake up like that. Blame it on my ISTP personality. *grin*
Sarah decided to help me. Apparently the idea is; "I'll help you, you'll help me with my floor." I then broke out into the Kronk's New Groove song "help me, to help you, to help him, and we will hear you say - HEY HEY HEY - we're living the milky way..." Sooooo.. I never actually agreed to her little plot. *smirk*
The finished project is ammmaaaaazzzing. I searched for loose floor boards...'cause you never know what you'll find in a farm house built in the late 1800's. I actually did have to cover up two mysterious holes...they were probably just gas pipe lines. But, I'll never really know..........
ohhh, annnndd, for all you stalkers out there, check out my new instagram!
Did you prank anyone yesterday for April Fools?
Have you found any mysteries in your home??
Love your bedroom! It's adorable and it really matches your personality. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! I actually am planning to paint my bedroom walls too. So, this probably isn't the last post you'll see. :P lol!
DeleteOooh, awesome! Rachel and I are planning on painting our room too. :D
DeleteAny color in mind??
DeleteProbably like a super light caspian blue. :)
DeleteBeautiful! You did a wonderful job! I love the ethereal look/feel.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could rip up my carpet and have lovely boards like that underneath! :) Sadly I'd just find padding and ugly old floorboard.
Oh, thank you! I never would have thought that I would have loved it, but I got to see it in my brothers room first. hahaa! Ohh...that would be sad! I adore living in a country farm house.. I now am planning to re-do my parents room!! xD
Deleteoh, and you did agree to help me.
ReplyDeleteha.
DeleteHaha!
DeleteHahaa! My mom told me that I should get a rug, and who knows, maybe I will. but, I really just want to enjoy it!! I've had carpet for my whole life. :P lol!! Oh, it would be soo cool! I'm sure your readers would love to see :D
ReplyDeleteThe wood floors look great! I have wood floors too and I love them. Your bedspread is also really cute. You did a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteGeneva
Oh, aren't they wonderful?! I simply adore how I can have a messy room - YET IT DOESN'T LOOK HORRIBLE. lol!!! Thanks! I got it for my birthday last year xD
DeleteWow, good on you! And you live in an old farm house!? That would be fun. I like houses that have character, and seem to tell a story. They're good for the imagination. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've decorated your room really nicely as well. I like all the quotes, and sticky notes, and books, and the fairy lights! I had fairy lights in my room at one stage, and yes, now I'm thinking I might need to put them back again. :)
Did you do anything for April Fool's Day?
hahaa! I do! I never, ever, ever, want to move either!!!! Oh, a story is totally needed for a good home. Its really cool because our neighbor, well, his grandma lived in this home for YEARS. Apparently she had a huge heart and was an amazzzziiiinnngg cook. She would welcome people into her home and feed and minister to them. Isn't that beautiful!!
Deleteaw, thank you!! I never realized I had a thing for decorating, but I now think I do. I love drooling over pinterest and then going up to my room and doing something similar. I've got so many ideas still!!
hahaaa!! Yes, I did. :P I posted one prank on my instagram that I did on my dad. And, then I posted on my Google Plus account a picture of a realistic looking leg in a cast. I just said "sooo yeah" LOL!! Then, I pranked a groom all day because it was the day before the wedding (IT WAS THE BRIDES IDEA). I was his Wedding Advisor. xD
Did you do any pranks??? ;)
LOL!!!! That's what I told my mom!! You won't believe this..but it's snowing now. *SOB*
ReplyDeleteso yeah. My room is really cold. :|
Hmm.. I don't think we do! I probably will get one at Walmart or Menards. :P
You are SO CRAFTY! Nice job, btw. :) You live in a farmhouse that was built in the 1800s? That sounds really cool! <3 Nope, I did nothing (NOT A THING) for April Fool's this year. Neither did my sister (she's the one you'd normally worry about. ;))
ReplyDelete-Micaiah-
PS WE FINISHED ANNE OF GREEN GABLES! :D Anne and Gil... <3 I wish there had been more moments between the two of them! ;) One of my favorite parts of the second movie was when Anne and Diana are chasing Mrs. Lynde's cow in her field. XD And Diana pitifully holds up her skirt as she stands in the mud and says: "The gap is closed." LOL She's such a good friend. ;)
Oh :P thanks. lol! Yup!! Isn't it darling? You would love it!! I love how our home looks so country classy. It's beautiful. ;) Really?! Not one single thing?!! I pranked a lot..hahaa!
DeleteYOU FINALLY WATCHED IT!!!! hahaa!! I guess that's what happens when you watch it older. :P When I was 7 watching it, I just enjoyed the moments of Anne walking on the ridge pole and the boat sinking. xD oh my gosh. and then Gilbert comes up and you're like "AHHHH!!!" hahaa!!!!
It's very cool, Julia, that you live in a farmhouse! It sounds so nice... :) (And, yes, I think I probably like it too. ;)) YEP. Not one single prank. Haha... XD
DeleteYES!!! WE FINALLY WATCHED IT! :D Oh, yeah, those moments too! And she's walking on the ridge pole and Gilbert actually gulps. He's SO worried about her! He really was so nice to her all those years... (She did finally forgive him and they became friends! And then SHE TURNED HIM DOWN! :O Poor Gil...) ;) Oh, yeah, the boat-saving scene, and he's all smug like "So, I just rescued you!" LOL I really did like the cow-chasing scene... It was funny! Do you have a favorite scene? I don't really, but those three above all very fun. :)
oh my word - YES. HOW COULD SHE TURN HIM DOWN? at that moment, I was ready to destroy Anne and take her place. hahaaa!!!! LIKE WHAT DOES MORGAN HARRIS EVEN HAVE CLOSE TO GILBERT?! sigh. I shall be okay. :P Ohh.. gosh, a favorite scene? Probably when Gil slaps Anne with his horse whip. xD That's probably not my absolute fave..but up there. :P
DeleteRIGHT!? My younger brother (who actually watched the movie with me and my sister) was like: "I don't like Anne anymore!" I mean, I get it, though. She didn't realize she was in love with him, and knew it would hurt more later if they got married and she didn't really love him. Thank goodness she finally REALIZED that SHE DID!!!! ;D I knew all along they were getting together in the end... Hehe... ;) <3 Morgan Harris was old enough to be her father!!! I mean, I guess that was common back then, but STILL. When you can have Gilbert Blythe!? ;) It's funny because her ideal man was basically Morgan Harris - proud, and tall and whatever else she mentioned earlier in the movie. So, she got what she wanted and realized it wasn't really what she wanted... And Gilbert is so sweet! Breaking off the engagement with Christine because he knew there was no one else for him but Anne! <3 I think that's cool, mostly because I read this book once where the guy wouldn't end the engagement even though he didn't love the girl because he was being honorable. And it's just...it would be MORE honorable to break off the engagement because then you're not hurting both of yourselves! Am I right!?? ;) :D Oh, yes, he slaps her with whip... She got SO annoyed. I probably would've been a little too, honestly... ;) Anne really ended up helping a lot of people, didn't she? The old lady, Mrs. Harris, and then Morgan's daughter (Emelina?), and then the principle at the school, and in the end even Jenn Pringle was a lot better!(ANNND I just wrote you an email almost... LOL) ;)
DeleteOkay so I loved the layout of the pictures . . . how did you do that?! ;) I can't remember that song for some reason (the one from Kronk's New Groove) . . . I need to look it up! I feel like the Disney movies from the 80s and 90s had the best soundtracks (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!! Oh and TARZAN and oh don't get me started on BROTHER BEAR . . . I could sing all these songs forever!).
ReplyDeleteWeellll, I edited them and the told Sarah which photos I wanted together. lol! She then helped me make a collage of them. I HATE doing collages. :P haha! Oh, it's the part where Ezma is singing and dancing in a waterfall of her potion that will keep everyone supposedly young. ;) I honestly don't remember many songs from those movies :P you should send me your favorites!!
DeleteLooks really great Julia!! We have carpet in our bedroom in this house, but in the last one we had hardwood floors. A little chilly on the toes in the middle of January...
ReplyDeleteHaha actually, when I read that you have an instagram account, I was like "YEAH!!" and ran to get my iPod so I could follow you!!
Janice
Thank you! Haha, I can bet. Especially in Canada!! LOL! I didn't even know you had an instagram. ;) I like instagram though. It seems so fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of fun, and you get to see a bunch of different people. I have had instagram for a few months now, and I follow a bunch of different people, most I know and a few I don't..
