can i juggle everything?? // how i'm trying to do it

this month, November, has been one of the most stuffed, yet, most wonderful I've known. It's been legit hectic though. *laughs cuz my mom teases me for saying legit*

  • NaNoWriMo (my goal is 30k, need 1,000 more words!)
  • GiveThanks Challenge
  • The Christmas event (more coming up!!)
  • Thanksgiving
  • 5k1Day x2
  • Blogging
  • Complete bathroom redo (post coming up *squeals*)
  • Senior year
  • Christmas shopping
  • Keeping up with friends
  • Mowing leaves up/winter prep

And, that's just things I can fit into a category! What about spray painting books, making a meal here and there, a phone call from my bestie, watching a movie with my sibs, playing basketball, taking a walk, oh, we have to go shopping, photoshoots/editing photos, commenting on blogs, and *gasp* I CANT FORGET TO CLEAN MY ROOM.

I mean, can I juggle it all? Can I somehow write 30k AND do everything else?

Yet, I don't want to compromise laughing. I don't want to lose my moments of poetry writing, and reading before bed...nor, do I want to lose my relationship with God through all of it. I've had to pick and choose what I can do without running myself into a hole - and, I have.

  • I haven't written in 9 days
  • I do have some school catch-up to do
  • Online Christmas shopping will have to work this year
  • Texting has been more sporadic..I'm sorry, friends! *frowns cuz i miss you all*

I've had to decide what was more important in a lot of situations, one of which was SARE'S AWESOME BIRTHDAY POST. #solegit Also, multitasking has become a MUST this month. lol!!

I keep on saying "I can't wait for winter...to just curl up and read." but GEESH, I think I'm kidding myself. It's not going to slow down xD And...that's okay, because, I'm learning a lot.

plus, BLOGGER CHANGED?!??! thoughts?!?

what are you learning?
what are your top priorities??

  1. OHMYGOSH THESE PHOTOS. = Perfection.

Right now I'm just focusing on writing like crazy during these last few days of Nano, *nervously glances at messy novel* *remembers I didn't even bother to open google docs*

And agh, yes, the new Blogger is so unsettlingly strange, I'm not too upset about it though, I mean, it's still Blogger, right?

  3. EEP PICTURESSSSS <33333

yeah, I know how you feel. I've had to juggle MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY, writing, reading (sadly Ive only finished two books I started last month and gotten halfway through another ): ), school, which I'm already behind in, family life, and of course, my relationship with God.

ITS TOUGH, BUT YOU CAN DO IT :DDDD

  4. Oh dear, you seam especially busy...I'm no expert, and my experience is limited, but a few ideas you could try would be to have a daily devotion, either reading a book in the Bible or buying/borrowing one. I try to read mine every morning, and even if it doesn't address the difficulties I'm going through, I appreciate the hope that it gives. Another would be to take a couple minutes each day and maybe let your mind wrap around everything you need to do that day, or that week, or even that month. Maybe even plan it out, although I know that might not happen with either of us. ;) God's really good at comforting people in their time of need....go to Him if you have any questions! Lol.

    1. yess!! I actually do have a set daily devotion I do. One is for school, which I do in the morning, and the other is, I read 1 chapter in the New Testament at night. I just work my way through the books over a period of time. xD Plus, I read the psalms... a lot.
      thanks for everything, Amelia <3

  13. WOAH GIRL YES. I relate to you so so much! NOVEMBER WAS LIKE THE EPITOME OF CRAZY. Pretty sure I learned the definition of S-T-R-E-S-S. KFJDSKLFJS Like honestly, my NaNo plans kinda went down because I figured out that even though I want to write those 25k words so much, things happening in life (LIKE MOVING. AND SCHOOL. AND VIOLIN RECITAL.) had to come first. So yeah. we moved, and things haven't really slowed down since either XD (LIKE MY COMPUTER WITH MY STORY FILE ON IT ISN'T EVEN UP SO I CAN'T EVEN WRITE UGH)

BUUUUUT yes. YOU CAN DO IT!! I have faith in you :) YOU GOT THIS.
And yes! The new blogger update is not cool. I honestly don't like it at all but whatever. Like Grace Anne said I'LL SURVIVE. Truer words have never been spoken.

  17. Girl, I FEEL YA. On so many levels. That's why I haven't been blogging much, because it's been on the "I just can't do everything" side of things. (I'll probably post about that soon.) But yes, we have to choose how to spend our time, and busyness isn't the enemy, discontent is. Thanks for the uplifting post!

  18. NOW YOU'RE STRESSING ME OUT
Seriously, I feel your struggle. This month has been crazy and I've been neglecting so much. My relationships, with both God and my friends, have been damaged and I need to work on that. I love this post and your honesty, and my new found inspiration to get my life together. Thanks ;)
