Mysterious footprints

January 12, 2015

Do you ever remember finding a pair of footprints in the snow that puzzled you as a young child? You just can't seem recognize the size or pattern. You put your boot in the shape..no, that's not right. Suddenly you think that it could have possibly been one of your sibling's boots. What a mystery, you think!

gasp!

Maybe it was a stranger?!
You run inside and tell the tale to your parents in your most scared/excited tone. "Oh, I went out to the garage this morning." your Dad says. Mystery solved.

But those sure were some exciting few minutes!

Do you sometimes like to think back on your childhood adventures?
What size boot do you wear? That way, if you ever come sneaking around, I'll know who it is. ;)

  1. Hehe, I can definitely relate to that.... though, in all honesty, it probably would've been pretty funny for my parents. "Mysterious" people are so fun to find, right? yeah.... maybe. :) Do I think back to my childhood memories??? Well, only almost every day... It's so weird though, I remember wanting to grow up so badly, yet, now, I realize those were beautiful days. Ah well, every day is beautiful if we let God take control of it and be optimistic I suppose. We had a 2 hour delay today, so that was pretty nice :) Sorry this is really off topic, but what kind of music do you like listening to?

    1. I loved getting my imagination so worked up to the point of believing that someone was roaming around. ;) I know! I actually told my older sister last night that I didn't want to grow up. It is getting to the point that I don't have to use my imagination to be excitedly nervous anymore! lol Oh, was it because of snow? I had a delay today as well...haha, I went to the library early this morning, then did school when I got home. :) Well, I like a lot of Christian singers like, Matthew West, the band The Afters, Chris Tomlin, and Steven Curtis Chapman. :) I also love listening to audio books...which I tend to do a lot lately. haha.. :D What about you? And by the way, I LOVE off topic questions. :)

    2. Yeah, I worked up my imagination a lot too. lol, I even captured ants for pets.. but that's another story for a different itme. But you can imagine how it was :P Yeah, it was because fo the snow.... and ice and freezing rain... YAY! Library! yeah, I like a lot of those people too..Me? I like Mandisa, Newsboys, Tobymac, Britt Nicole, Francesca Battistelli and a LOT more.... :) Yes, audio books are quite amazing :) I've recently been listening to Sherlock Holmes, he was quite astonishing I'll say. :D Yay for off topic questions :)) Oh, and um, is there any way I could email you? :)

  2. Yes, we liked to try to have all the footprints figured out! We even had tracking games where we would try to find each other by following footprints--of course the sought person tried to do some walking backwards to trick the seeker! I wear size 9.

    1. Oh yes! I can remember trying to walk in old footprints so perfectly that nobody would know where I went! That trick only worked a few times, as I couldn't find any hiding spots in the open where the shoe-prints were. lol!

  3. I had never done that, but there were some similar scenes. xD
    I wear a size - I'm not sure! A 3 or a 4, maybe. :P

  4. My friends and I would always do this in elementary school, especially when the snow was blowing so hard during recess we could barely see. ^.^

    1. Haha! Have you ever played that you were blind and had to find your way around? It all started one day when we decided to put our hats over our faces to keep them warm. Then it became the game of the century. ;) lol!

  8. Haha! My dad would always get mad if we made footprints in the snow before he did, so his footprints were almost alwasy the first I would see. :)

  10. We don't get snow in Australia, but I do remember once when we were on a beach holiday, and every morning when we went down to the beach, there would be fresh horse hoof prints. It gave us hours of fun, tracking them and making up stories of why a horse would be on the beach.
My feet are size 7, but being short, they look massive. What's yours?

    1. Oh, how beautiful! I would so rather see wild horse hoof prints that snow. :P Hehe! I have size 7 to 7 1/2 as well. How tall are you? I'm 5'3. :)

    2. I think I'm about 5'1 or a bit smaller. I'm not sure. I haven't actually gotten the tape measure out to check, I'm too scared to find out how small I really am!
