being impatient // country girl day

May 10, 2016
I'm well known for being impatient. If I don't get my password on the first try, I hit forgot my password.  When I paint my finger nails, I literally cannot wait for them to dry, so I stick my fan on level 3 and blast them dry. If a button is stuck, I click it 40 billion times until it is UNSTUCK. (which peeves Sarah immensely..hehe!) And let's not talk about bagels in the toaster. Patience just isn't my thing.

I'm starting to see that my impatience is making me suffer in many areas, especially in my relationship with God. Grasping the concept that He has His own time literally kills me. It's easy for me to go "fine." and give up. But, what I'm trying to see is that, no..I cannot walk away and expect the treasures God has in store for me. It's hard to be still and listen..

I woke up today and threw on my comfortable jeans and oversized (technically my dads....) white shirt. It is just one of those country girl days. Oh, and tomorrow I am taking the written test for my license. PRAY - please. lol

Are you impatient?
Do you have country girl days??

  2. Julia!!! I totally understand what you mean. It is so hard sometimes to trust the Lord and his timing. But, like you said His timing is perfect! Miss you girl, we need to talk soon! <3 praying for your test today! How exciting!

  3. Yes, it's hard for me to trust His timing too...

Nice photos as well - I see spring is coming to your part of town! And I hope you did really well in your driving test! Do you have an on-road driving test as well as the written? Just curious - things are quite different over here, when it comes to getting a license.

  5. I <3 those country girl days. That's, like, my entire life in the summer. ;-)

Yeah, patience...it's a struggle! Lately I feel like I've been more impatient than normal. I don't know if it's summer coming, or some kind of mid-life crisis (haha) but I've been feeling super antsy and restless and IMPATIENT for something extraordinary to happen. Sometimes God's timing seems slow and sluggish...but really, we couldn't make it any better. I know He's got the best plan.

Oh, good luck on your test! I'll be praying for you, Julia!!!

    1. I KNOW. I loovee not having to wear shoes. The only time those things get on MY feet are if I'm going out in public, OR I'm going on an adventure in the weeds. haha

YOU UNDERSTAND. Something extraordinary is soo the word. I guess I've got to realize that life itself is pretty extraordinary. lol He probably wonders why we want to go so fast. xD Yes, He does have a plan!! And, that's the most comforting part :D

aww, thanks Emma! I passed!! Oh, and I got your email ;)
