WELCOME TO MY LITTLE COVE.

where...............


  • my vinyls are playing 24/7
  • books are EVVVEEEERRRRRRRRYYYYWHERE
  • its usually incredibly messy but I cleaned it and was like LOL BETTER TAKE PICTURES WHILE ITS CLEAN 
  • btw huge shoutout to sarah who took the said pics + edited them (LIKE THE SKILLS AM I RIGHT) 
  • i also have too many notebooks hahaaaaaaaaaa
  • my wonderful christmas gifts of the tapestry and REALLLL  fairylights!!! (that turn on and off with a remote need i say more) 

so like back in august or september of 2017, I decided a terribly insane thing. to rip off my beloved library wall and completely start over from my original theme of fill-every-imaginable-spot-on-the-wall-ness. my slightly modern came out once I bought my record player xD but ACKKKK painting my walls white from my soft grey was haaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrd. it took me awhile to even think it was the right decision.

yup. I recovered them. for many many reasons. The main one being that they were all different colors..red, blue, green, yellow, brown, black... IT WAS DRIVING ME BONKERS. so *coughcough* my sisters and I brainstormed (and still aren't sure who's original idea it was lol) to recover my books with craft paper and then letter stamp the titles on. 

I LOVE IT. LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

    Aww, I love your room so much! It's so cute and Pinterest-y! :)I love a post on how you recovered your books. Hmm, if I could re-do my room, I would add a bigger bookshelf. :)) I'm always running out of room to put my books.

    *shrieks* Your ROOM IS so aesthetic and it coordinates so perfectly. the vibe is coming through, you should win an award for the best modern/vintage mix.

    And yes please do the DIY post on the books, you should have seen my face as I paused at that picture and admired xD my sister was like "WHATEVER are you looking at???"

    Oh my word HOW IS YOUR ROOM SO GORGEOUS?!?!??? #goals

    If I could redo my room, I'd definitely paint it. I've had my bedroom in our current house since I was four, so the walls are kinda wrecked by posters and butterfly stickers. I still love the posters so IDK what I'd do with them but a girl can dream, right? XD

    I'd love to see a DIY post on recovering old books!

      EEP THANKS MADDY!!!!! oh man I was super happy with the bright light I got but tbh I like it best when it's dark?! DONT ASK ME WHY (sarah is always like "julia why are you sitting in darkness" IDK! LOL)

    Oh I love, love, love, LOVE your room. Like, LOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE. XD
    I want to completely redo my room. Now that Felicity is gone, this may be possible, because now we don't have any many things in it. Also, we sold the bunk bed. ;P Someday my dad will build us a bed but until then, we'll sleep on a mattress on the floor. ;D
    My room already looks way different than it did the last time I did a tour. Maybe I should do an update tour on my blog??
    After my vacation in May, I'll probably come home and tackle that bedroom. Paint the walls, ceiling, and floor. The works ;D

    But seriously. I LOVE YOUR ROOM SO MUCH LIKE WOWOWOW LET'S TRADE. (You might not mind my room much. It has a LOT of lights, books everywhere, and white bedding... Okay, maybe I'll just keep my room but borrow yours from time to time. XD)

    And I WANT THAT DIY, PLEASE. PRETTY PLEASE? I WOULD TOTALLY DO IT IF YOU GAVE US A DIY. I kinda have the same mindset as you. I HATE it when there are books with all different colors and there's no coordination whatsoever. That is why I... turned all my books around! \(o-o)/ Yes, my father does not understand this and yells at me whenever he goes to grab his current read but IT'S WORTH IT BECAUSE IT IS SO AESTHETIC. I don't think I will ever put my books away the "right" way ever again. Sometimes when I'm at the library or the bookstore, I'm tempted to turn all their books around...

    Anywho. Lovely post, dear! I'll be on the look for that DIY. ;)

    YOUR ROOM IS SO BEAUTIFUL <3 *hearteyes* You letterboard is so inspirational too. I just bought one this past weekend and was looking up inspiration as to what to put on the letterboard, and 99.99% of them were witty remarks and stuff LIKE ALL I WANT IS A GOOD QUOTE not a comeback or smart remark lol
